On March 27, 2025, a 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Metro Manila area, prompting the immediate and efficient evacuation of DOS1 employees from their workplace on the 8th floor of the PITX.
Thanks to the presence of mind, quick action, and effective leadership of team heads and safety marshals, all employees were evacuated swiftly and without incident. The coordinated effort showcased DOS1’s commitment to safety, preparedness, and the importance of regular emergency drills.
As soon as the tremors were felt, evacuation protocols were immediately activated. Team heads calmly guided everyone to safety, ensuring a fast yet orderly descent from the upper floors to the designated evacuation area. The crowd control was also facilitated by DOS1 officers and assisted employees along stairwells to avoid bottlenecks and panic. Within a few minutes, all employees were accounted for and safely assembled outside.
