The Rizal Technological University (RTU) hosted its much-anticipated Innovation Day, bringing together leaders, innovators, and visionaries to discuss breakthroughs in various fields. The event, held on November 15, 2024, at RTU’s main campus in Mandaluyong City, showcased insights on the transformative power of innovation across sectors including business, education, science and technology.
One of the keynote speakers, Mr. Gary Cayton, President of Dynamic Outsource Solutions, Inc. (DOS1), captivated attendees with a compelling discussion of Innovation in Business Process Management. His call to action, “Do not be afraid of change, embrace it,” resonated strongly with students and faculty. EHC’s message emphasized the importance of adaptability and continuous improvement in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape. His insights underlined how businesses must proactively incorporate new technologies and practices to stay ahead and sustain growth.
The event also featured Dr. Shirley C. Agrupts, Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), who shed light on Innovation in the Education Sector. Representing the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Mr. Osric Primo Bern Quibot, Assistant Regional Director of DOST NCR, shared groundbreaking updates on Innovation in DOST Initiatives. On Innovation in the Study of Biology, Dr. Ian Kendrich C. Fontanilla, Director of the Institute of Biology at UP Diliman, discussed how advancements in genetic research and biotechnology open new frontiers in medical science and environmental conservation.
RTU’s Innovation Day 2024 proved to be a resounding success. The event reinforced the university’s commitment to nurturing a culture of inquiry and adaptability, ensuring that its students remain well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
