DOS1 Hosts Seminar on HIV Awareness with Epic Project

In a bid to raise awareness and foster a sense of responsibility towards public health, DOS1 recently hosted a seminar about HIV information and orientation organized by The Meeting Targets and Maintaining HIV Epidemic Control (EpiC). EpiC, a five-year project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), has been actively working towards achieving and maintaining HIV epidemic control on a global scale.

President Gary Cayton extended a warm invitation to EpiC, recognizing the need for such initiatives to educate and empower the workforce. The seminar was aimed at alerting and preparing all employees about the reality and actual presence of HIV.

The seminar was graced by the presence of distinguished representatives from EpiC, including Ms. Teresita Marie P. Bagasao, the RSW-MA Project Director; Mr. Joven Santiago, Technical Adviser for Social and Behavior Change Communication; and Mr. Stanley Roy Carascal, Senior Technical Adviser.

The HIV information and orientation seminar marked a crucial step toward creating a more informed, responsible, and compassionate community. DOS1 demonstrates its commitment to the well-being of its employees. The knowledge gained from the seminar equips individuals to protect themselves and others, contributing to the global effort to end the HIV epidemic.
